Walking with Nature: Finding Healing and Guidance in the Wild
For as long as I can remember like many of us , I’ve turned to nature during my most challenging times. As a child, I sought solace under a favourite oak tree, finding safety in its steadfast presence—a rock in stormy seas. As a teenager ,I sat by the river, contemplating the flow and looking for guidance. And as an adult, I’ve wandered the hills, often searching for answers to questions I couldn’t yet articulate.
Each time, nature has offered me something invaluable: clarity, lightness, and the space to untangle the knots in my mind. It hasn’t always provided immediate solutions—sometimes the answers have taken years to unfold—but the journey has always been supported by the companionship of a valley, a hill, a stone , a tree, or a plant.
A Journey of the Heart and Body
This journey of healing and self-discovery is deeply personal and ongoing, but I’ve come to understand: it begins with learning to open your heart and senses, to feel safe and at home in our bodies and grounded in where we are . Answers aren’t always immediate, but they are always within us, waiting to emerge when we are ready. Nature has an incredible way of bridging that gap, helping us to trust ourselves and find what we need.
With my medical herbalist experience, I also recognize how closely the body and mind are connected. During our walks, I’ll ask thoughtful questions to explore the root of any physical ailments you may be experiencing. Together, we’ll connect with the plants we encounter, learning about their healing properties and how you can incorporate them into your life. By foraging, you’ll have the opportunity to meet your medicine and establish a personal connection with the herbs that can support your well-being.
Walking Together in Nature
I am now offering to share this journey with others. Together, we can explore the healing power of nature, uncovering the roots of what drains your energy or ails you—whether emotional or physical.
What I Offer:
- Four 1-hour walks: Ideally in the Welcome Hills near Stratford-upon-Avon a place I know intimately or at a favourite location of your choosing.
- Personalized support: Each walk will be guided by your needs, helping you to connect with the land and your inner self.
- Herbal insights: Learn about the plants we encounter, their healing properties, and how to incorporate them into your life through teas, tinctures, baths, or other preparations.
- Foraging guidance: Engage in hands-on learning about the herbs around you, meeting your medicine in the wild.
- Weather-inclusive walks: We’ll Walk in all conditions, embracing the gifts of the weather and the resilience that comes from commitment and discomfort.
- Herbal treatment plans: After our sessions, I will create a tailored plan that may include tinctures, teas, powders, movement, or nutritional advice.
Pricing and Practical Details:
- Introductory Offer: £120 for four sessions if booked before 14th February.
- Payment Plans: Payable in two instalments of £60.
- Concessions: Available upon request to make this experience accessible to as many people as possible.
- Individual Consultations: My in-clinic consultations are £85 for an initial 90min appointment and £40 for follow-ups. This walking series offers a unique, nature-connected alternative at a lower cost
- Availability: Sessions will be booked from 1st February onwards, with practical details sent in a confirmation email after booking.
